DEV SHREE- RESPONSIBLE TOURISM

My school prayer reverberates in my head  - "It is in giving that we recevie" - as we reach out to people and Foundations to help us help the people of our area

Through our Trust we have been helping local schools -3000 children from 40 different schools of our area . For our small Seven room property it is a large input. Our Guests help us by either donating sweaters and uniforms and we take them to the schools where they can distribute the clothes themselves. Or, they leave a small donation and we collect the money and provide text books and stationary for the needy students. Our team of teachers from the Government schools also help us with sourcing the children who need the assistance .

Our biggest success has been the building of a Girls school in Deogarh for which we were able to build more than 60 % of the new building at an expense outlay of 2 crore rupees. We were awarded by the Govt. of Rajasthan for the same . Our beneficiaries in this mission were an architectural firm from Sweden who helped us through the "School by School" NGO,Sweden ; and The  Ottakars Foundation of the UK.

We are now in the process of building Two synthetic basketball courts for the local community as we have very good basketball players from our village who have even played at the National level .

We sponsor the stay of students and teachers who wish to come and offer their services at the local schools. We will be having one Gap Year student  from the UK staying for a month in March this year  .

We reached out to the Green Soles foundation and will be getting 10,000 slippers initially to be distributed to the needy children. Their idea is to contribute to social good, by creating a self-sustaining infrastructure that facilitatesthe provision of the basic necesity of footwear to everyone.l good. By refurbishing discarded shoes with zero carbon footprint and  by giving employment to people to  refurbish shoes.
